Ezequiel Trumper is the Principal of his practice Haller & Grad Lawyers which he founded in 2006.

Ezequiel is an experienced commercial and general lawyer with over 30 years’ Australasian legal experience. He has worked both in the corporate sector and in private practice. As a private legal practitioner, Ezequiel started his Australasian career as a senior associate at major law firm Phillips Fox in 1990, was later appointed special counsel at PwC Australia, and achieved Partnership in large established Australian law firms. He has served on various senior committees of the Law Society of NSW, of which he has been a member for a long time. Ezequiel also had distinguished career as a lawyer and senior executive in the private sector including 5 years as general counsel & company secretary of Airways New Zealand, senior roles in the financial services industry such as Legal Counsel (Compliance) for the New Zealand Securities Commission, and Senior Counsel at National Mutual (now AXA) Funds Management.

Ezequiel has acted for major corporations, government enterprises, privatisation and capital raising projects, as well as for media and sporting personalities. He has carried legal work at the highest level, specializing in commercial law, corporate governance, insider trading litigation, venture capital projects. He has also done substantive work in the area of sports and defamation law having acted for high profile sport and media personalities.  

Ezequiel has also vast experience in general practice areas from family law matters, wills and estates and criminal law. He is also a registered Public Notary and a member of the Society of Notaries of New South Wales and offer notarisation services to clients who need to use documentation in overseas jurisdictions.

Ezequiel advises in other areas of the law which are of particular interest to the large Spanish speaking community of Australia, where Ezequiel plays a leadership role, as a radio broadcaster and social commentator on Radio Austral the leading Spanish speaking broadcaster of Australia.

Ezequiel held senior positions in a distinguished career in the private sector. He was the Chairman of the New Zealand/Latin American Business Council, chairman and of a large superannuation fund, was a director of the Australia/Latin America business council, was a member of the Licensing and Membership Committee of the Law Society of New South Wales, a director of Football Media Australia Inc and other directorships. He was also appointed by the Government of New Zealand as the country’s legal representative for air traffic control matters before ICAO, the United Nations’ International Civil Aviation Organisation.

Apart from being an Australian Legal Practitioner holding an unrestricted practising certificate issued by the Law Society of New South Wales, Ezequiel holds a Masters in Comparative Jurisprudence from New York University School of Law, was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand at the University of Auckland, and also has a law degree from the University of Buenos Aires. He is also an accredited journalist with a 3 year diploma in Journalism issued by the Circulo de Periodistas Deportivos de la Argentina.
