Ezequiel Trumper is a senior journalist, opinion maker, and a political, sport and social commentator. He has been accredited to any major competition and event in 4 continents. Ezequiel publishes original written sports articles and commentary for Punto Latino Sydney Deportes, anindependent digital media platform, on a regular basis from his Miami base in addition to his radio programmes.

While broadcasting in Spanish to a multicultural and multinational Spanish speaking audience, Ezequiel has played a leadership role in the Australian and New Zealand Latino community for decades as a radio broadcaster and social commentator on various Spanish speaking radios in Australia and New Zealand, including Radio Punto Latino Sydney, Radio Metropolitana Melbourne, and Radio Austral of Auckland (New Zealand) and he continues to broadcast for all those radio stations with his current affairs show to this date, in addition to his publishing role of written sports articles and commentary.

Ezequiel is an experienced commercial lawyer and company director with over 30 years’ Australasian legal experience. He has worked both in the corporate sector and in private practice. Ezequiel started his Australasian career in private practice as a senior associate at major law firm Phillips Fox in 1990, was later appointed special counsel at PwC Australia, and achieved Partnership in large established Australian law firms.

Ezequiel also had distinguished career as a lawyer and senior executive in the private sector including 5 years as general counsel & company secretary of Airways New Zealand, senior roles in the financial services industry such as Legal Counsel (Compliance) for the New Zealand Securities Commission, and Senior Counsel at National Mutual (now AXA) Funds Management.

Ezequiel also held non-executive senior board positions in the private sector. He was the Chairman of the New Zealand/Latin American Business Council, chairman of Airways New Zealand pension fund, was a director of the Australia/Latin America business council, an executive committee member and the public officer of the Australian Jewish Association, and a member of the Licensing Committee of the Law Society of New South Wales, a director of Football Media Australia Inc, and other directorships. He was also appointed by the Government of New Zealand as the country’s legal representative for air traffic control matters before ICAO, the United Nations’ International Civil Aviation Organisation.

In his legal career, Ezequiel has acted for major corporations, government enterprises, privatisation and capital raising projects, as well as for media and sporting personalities specializing in commercial law, corporate governance, and venture capital projects. He has also done substantive work in sports and defamation law having acted for high profile sport and media personalities.  

Ezequiel is currently residing in the United States where he is a consultant to a finance and trading company working as Trade Financial Consultant for Legal Affairs and a member of the senior executive team.
